SafeHouse Ministries hosted a successful vaccination clinic targeted to individuals experiencing homelessness on April 8, 2021. Due to the collaboration between United Way's Home for Good team, Safehouse Ministries team, and the Department of Public Health, Johnson & Johnson vaccines were administered to this vulnerable community. One client participant commented, “I praise God for being able to take care of my health.” Actions are being developed to provide vaccinations for individuals who could not attend.
“This was our opportunity to provide hope for the future after over a year of serving those God called us to love.” Neil Richardson, Founder and Executive Director of SafeHouse Ministries.
"Equity means easy availability for everyone - this is just one way we can ensure all our neighbors have the opportunity for care, health, and well-being. It's our responsibility to make that happen." Pat Frey, Executive Director of Home for Good.
This kind of event shows the intersection of understanding our most vulnerable citizens' needs, taking appropriate and immediate action, and utilizing our excellent collaborative relationships. By working together, we will create sustainable change that is equitable for everyone.
