Backpack Blessing Sunday
August 25
       Kids – grab your backpacks & a friend (or two) and join us this Sunday for, “Blessing of the Backpacks.” Aside from a blessing, we have a fun little gift to put inside we’re pretty sure you’ll enjoy!  

Sabbatical Update
      Beth Joosten will be taking a sabbatical leave beginning September 1 from her music director position at Living Water. During this time we are very blessed to have Julia Zappa taking on this role. Thanks, Julia!! And, thank you to all musicians who have been and continue to be willing to share their talents with us!! 
      Watch for future announcements for some new developments with Living Water music!
August: Hotdish Mission
    The origins of hotdish are squarely rooted in the Upper Midwest namely Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the Dakotas. As any good Lutheran would know, a successful hotdish takes several increments all combined with love.

    Our August Mission has three ingredients, combined to create something to share at any church or family gathering, here we go:

Financial Peace Coordinator Needed
       Financial Peace University is an invaluable tool for helping build families that are financially strong & healthy. We’d love to offer this 10-week class again in 2019-20 and are actively seeking a person or team of persons to coordinate the effort. If this is a ministry you’d be interested in helping lead, please contact Pr. Lay School of Ministry
     If you’ve ever wanted to dig deeper into scripture, learn more about church history, develop a fuller understanding of the Christian faith then Lay School of Ministry is for you! This two-year program runs from September – May and is held in nearby Chippewa Falls. To register and learn more, check them out on-line at

411 Building Makeover!
      The past two weeks your 411 Building has gotten a makeover, from top to bottom. New carpet in the Worship Center, new linoleum in the two JAM classrooms, a new Giving Kiosk, and a fresh coat of paint (thanks, Kurt & Cory!). The results are amazing!! Come this Sunday & check it out. Even better, bring a friend! We’re super excited to kick off a brand new year of loving God & serving others through Christ!   

Trail Clearing: Help Needed!
        July’s storm took a toll in many areas, including the Living Water trail. In several places it’s blocked with downed limbs & branches. If you’ve got a chainsaw and a couple serving hours to give, please let us know. Thanks!

JAM Kickoff
Sunday, September 8
        Online registration is now open. Please see our JAM Facebook page for more information. Julie will be also be sending out an email to existing JAM families with the registration link. 

     Join us for a year of learning, fun, songs, and growing in faith together. We are looking for JAM teachers. Please let us know if you would be interested in spending 20-25 minutes encouraging the faith of some pretty awesome kiddos. The curriculum and materials are provided. The kids love new faces!!  

EPIC & CORE are both starting up Wednesday, September 11.

Red Zone
      Bright & early on Wednesday , September 11 we kick off Red Zone at Living Water. Aside from a hot, hearty breakfast it’s an opportunity to hear one of our area coaches & athletic directors share what it’s like to be a Jesus follower & athlete. Have suggestions of persons to whom we should be reaching out? Contact Pr. Summer JAM Sundays
       Join us this summer on Sundays for Power Up Kid’s Camp: crafts, outdoor activities, VBS themed curriculum, etc. Camp is very laid back and will happen at the regular JAM time. The yellow room is always open for the littles. No registration necessary. Please join us when you can. Happy Summer!
