Messy Church Comes to Cunningham
Messy Church is an intergenerational, come-as-you-are congregation exploring the Bible with creativity and joy to deepen our relationship with God and our neighbors. It takes place once a month for two hours, and includes fellowship, crafts, games, celebration worship, and a light meal.
CUMC will hold Messy Church on the first Tuesday of each month, from 5-7 pm. November 2 will be a "trial run," operating with a limited number of younger guests. December 7 will be our official start and open to the entire public.
Messy Church is a wonderful ministry because it reaches out to people who are looking for an alternative to traditional church. It is an intergenerational ministry in which persons of all ages interact together. Additionally, it provides a worship and educational setting that encourages activity, movement and talking!
Volunteers of all ages are needed to:
- welcome and register guests (can be done sitting down);
- help with various craft projects (can be done sitting down);
- set-up and break-down;
- prepare and serve food;
- monitor games
- welcome and register guests (can be done sitting down)
