Stewardship

Thanks to those members of our Cunningham family who have already submitted their 2024 General Operating Fund budget commitment cards which were dedicated during our Service yesterday. If you have not yet had a chance to return your commitment card to the Church, there is still an opportunity to do so, as we will continue to dedicate those cards as we receive them. If you need a commitment card or have a question please contact Walter Hussey, Finance Chair (whthinker@yahoo.com, 703.967.1798), or the Church office.

Help Decorate the Church for Christmas

We are looking for a few crocheters to help make crocheted angels to put on the ends of the pews this Christmas. We have two volunteers so far but a couple more are needed. We need 41 Angels. We have a video and a pattern for those who are interested. Contact Mary Whalen for more info.

Holiday Poinsettias

Bill Peters and Mary Whalen are always looking for something new each year for the Advent program. This year the plan is to have a poinsettia tree instead of our usual Christmon tree. The plan is to purchase poinsettias under $10. If you would like to purchase a poinsettia in memory of a loved one, please email Mary Whalen to make arrangements.

UWF Holiday Luncheon

December 5

The United Women of Faith will meet for lunch on December 5 at 11am at Wahoo Barbecue. Please contact Linda Mattson for more information. All women are welcome!

Carols, Cookies, & Cocoa

December 16th

Mark your calendar for some good Christmas fun! We'll sing carols, enjoy cookies and cocoa, and make merry! December 16 from 2-4pm in the Gathering Place. Invite a friend or two!

HOLIDAY BAZAAR NEWS

Thanks so much to everyone who donated items and/or their time and talents to our annual Cunningham Bazaar. Proceeds from the Bazaar will go to ministries and missions of the United Women in Faith (UWF) and the United Methodist Men (UMM). Total proceeds are an amazing $7,726.89 with the breakdown as follows - $4,440.03 for the women’s bakery and crafts, $843.61 for the women’s Grandma’s Attic, $2,053 for the women’s quilt ticket sales, and $390.25 for the men’s kitchen sales.
