It's been over a year since Mad Swede Brewing signed the lease downtown, and they will finally open the doors of their Brew Hall this weekend!
The vast majority of the delays had to do with unforeseen structural issues with the historical Garro building where the brew hall is located, and those took several months to resolve. "We now have the most solid floors in Boise," said co-owner Susie Larson, "And we've been lucky that the owners of the Garro Building have really had our backs throughout this process."
Mad Swede's downtown Brew Hall will open to the public this Saturday, January 16, from 3pm to 10pm with taps pouring their independently brewed and locally sourced craft beer and made-to-order craft seltzers.
They'll also be serving up a small menu of Mad Swedish Meatballs made with Naked Sunbather Nut Brown Ale (their beer that took home a gold medal at GABF 2019) as well as Pie-O-Neer hand pies from the chefs formerly known as Kiwi Shake & Bake.
They'll be open from 3-10pm seven days a week to start out, although they recommend following them on
Both Mad Swede locations are safe to visit with the Reme Halo air purification system and mask policy.
