Yesterday in our newsletter, we announced some pretty big news...

After 50 years Site Planning Development is changing hands to the next generation. Jonathan Campbell is now president and owner of Site Planning after purchasing the business from his father and founder, John Campbell.

“It is truly an amazing feeling to know that I can carry on the legacy of this company that my dad worked so hard to build. We have an amazing client base, and I intend to continue the trusted partnership with them, working hard to advance our core values of quality and caring."

For those who have worked with John, you know his passion and energy is second to none. He plans to take more time to spend with family but will keep a desk at the office and continue to serve clients. We are humbled by John’s energy and commitment to staff, clients, and quality outcomes and look forward to celebrating his legacy as the company moves forward.

Join us in celebrating and thanking John for his hard work!

Pet of The Week- Liv!

Meet Liv, a 3-year-old Poodle mix. Liv found her way to us through a large-scale rescue with the Bissell Pet Foundation. She was terrified upon arriving and really having a hard time adjusting to the new environment, thankfully we were able to find a foster for her and she has been thriving.

A bit from Liv's Foster:

Liv is absolutely adorable! She is good with other dogs. Liv likes to be around her human(s). She does well with kids and seems very curious about them. She is just beginning to enjoy her dog toys. Liv is crate trained, and potty training is going great! I have also found that Liv is a bit of a kleptomaniac, in just three days she managed to collect an earring, cough drop, 3 dog toys, and a DVD remote in her blankets!

Liv will need someone with patience to allow her to become the wonderful, loving dog, I know she is.

Melissa Noa, FNP-C, OCN, Joins Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital Cancer and Infusion Center

Munson Healthcare welcomed Melissa

Noa, FNP-C, OCN, to the Otsego Memorial Hospital Cancer and Infusion Center in

spring 2024.

While working as a receptionist at the Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital Infusion Clinic, Melissa knew she had found her calling. Passionate to do more in oncology, she

pursued a career in nursing, returning to the same clinic as a registered nurse.  Melissa continued to further her education and training and now sees patients as a nurse practitioner. She earned her graduate degree from Purdue University Global.

Melissa's favorite thing about practicing medicine is the opportunity to build relationships with her patients.

“I believe that strong patient-provider relationships are the cornerstone of effective

healthcare. Through these connections, I am able to better understand my

patients’ needs, preferences, and goals, which allows me to provide more

personalized and compassionate care,” she says.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys reading, experimenting with sourdough recipes, being outdoors, and running— as well as spending time with

her husband, Matt, sons Trevor and Emmett, and German Shepard, Bear. Her family

is her anchor and inspiration and reminds her daily of the importance of

empathy and compassion in caring for others.

Otsego Memorial Hospital Cancer and Infusion Center is located at 701 North Otsego Avenue, in Gaylord.

In addition, the organization is grooming trails at featured preserves in Charlevoix, Emmet, and Cheboygan counties.

Munson Healthcare Names Rob Richardson as Otsego Memorial Hospital President and East Region COO

Munson Healthcare (MHC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Richardson as President of Otsego Memorial Hospital and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Munson Healthcare’s Charlevoix, Grayling, and Otsego Memorial Hospitals.

Rob has been serving as the interim President of Otsego Memorial Hospital since September 2024. Prior to this role, he was the Vice President of Surgical and System Support Services at Munson Healthcare.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rob Richardson to his new role. His extensive experience and dedication to healthcare makes him an excellent choice to lead Otsego Memorial Hospital and support our regional hospitals,” Kirsten Korth-White, Munson Healthcare East Region President said. “We are confident that under his leadership, we will continue to enhance and expand our services to better serve our communities.

In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations at Otsego Memorial Hospital, Rob will spearhead significant construction projects and manage over $45 million in investments in the Gaylord community. This includes the expansion and renovation of the hospital to transform OMH into a Regional Hospital by 2027, serving patients across the entire East Region of MHC’s territory. Additionally, a new Ambulatory Surgery Center is being built to serve Gaylord and the neighboring areas.

“Building a strong community culture is essential for the success of any healthcare facility. I am excited to become a part of the great work happening in Gaylord and the surrounding communities. Together, we will continue to enhance the quality of care and services provided to our patients,” said Rob Richardson.

Rob holds a BA from Hillsdale College, an MBA from Duke University, and a law degree from Wake Forest University. With nearly three decades of experience in healthcare, aerospace/defense contracting, and global real estate development, Rob brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new position.

NCMC ENROLLMENT GROWS 5% FOR WINTER 2025, DRIVEN BY FULL-TIME AND ADULT LEARNERS

North Central Michigan College (NCMC) continued its upward enrollment trend for Winter 2025, with a 5% increase in both credit and contact hours compared to Winter 2024, alongside notable growth in full-time students.

Additionally, the college saw an increase in adult student enrollment, aided by the Michigan Reconnect Scholarship, which expands access to tuition-free and reduced-cost degrees for eligible Michiganders without a college credential.

Winter 2025 enrollment stands at 1,722 students, with the number of returning students increasing by 5% over the previous year. The number of full-time students has increased by 10%, occurring alongside a 5% increase in Full-Time Enrollment Equivalency (FTE), a measure that aggregates part-time students into full-time student equivalents. This growth is a strong indicator of student success, as full-time students gain greater momentum toward degree completion.

NCMC’s student demographics continue to evolve, with traditional-aged students (18-24) increasing by 7% and adult learners (25 and older) increasing by 6%. Additionally, 80% of NCMC students who enrolled in Fall 2024 returned for the Winter 2025 semester, underscoring the college’s commitment to student retention and success.

“This enrollment growth demonstrates that more students see the value of a North Central credential,” said Erin Sonneveldt, associate dean of Institutional Research and Assessment. “Our commitment to affordability, accessibility, and career-driven education — supported by programs like Michigan Reconnect — is making a real difference in student success and retention.”

Beyond traditional degree programs, North Central serves nearly 200 students annually through Fast Track career programs and offers more than 8,500 learners access to Lifelong Learning opportunities, reinforcing the college’s role as a regional education leader.

Current and prospective students can register for North Central’s Fall 2025 semester beginning March 12, while Summer 2025 registration is open now. For more information, visit www.ncmich.edu.
