Bergmann Center Play and Work Cafe Survey

We are thinking of different way to help the community. We are considering opening a work and play cafe.

A work and play cafe is a unique space designed to support both parents and their children. It offers a clean, safe, and comfortable environment where parents can enjoy a cup of coffee, connect with other parents, or work while their children play and explore. The cafe is equipped with comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, and plenty of power outlets, making it an ideal spot for parents to catch up on tasks.

Would you be interested in bringing your child to a play and work cafe where you can work or socialize while your child plays? Please take our survey below:

Pet of The Week-King!

King is a two year old lab/collie mix with lots of love to give! He found his way to us after being transferred from another shelter.

King is very energetic and would do best with an active family. He know some basic commands and seems to be house trained, but his leash skills could use a little work. He has been working hard on them though with our wonderful volunteers.

King loves people, so much so, that he tends to forget his manners and jumps up with excitement, so a home with small children may not be ideal for him. We know this behavior could be easily corrected with some proper training and King is very eager to please!

King seems to get along with cats, but can be a bit picky with other dogs. He would do best with a dog that could match his playful energy but still be rather submissive.

Are you willing to invite King into your heart and home? He’s more than prepared to be your devoted sidekick, promising a lifetime of adventures and cuddles. Come meet King, and let him show you just how much happiness a forever friend can bring!

PETOSKEY SALVATION ARMY NEEDS A MIRACLE TO MAKE THE RED KETTLE GOAL

Annual Red Kettle Campaign That Helps Struggling Households With Critical Needs Behind $31,000

Due to high inflation and a struggling economy, donations are down considerably from prior years. The 2024 Red Kettle Campaign is behind its goal by $31,000 and hitting it will take a Christmas miracle since bellringing ended on Christmas Eve. Now the only hope is in donations trickling in that are specifically designated for Red Kettles. Money raised at Red Kettles funds many year-round programs that supply basic needs for struggling local residents such as food, heat, electricity, rent assistance, holiday assistance, senior programs and more.
