'Interlochen Grandma' Partners with Northern Michigan Businesses to Make Sure Interlochen Arts Academy Students Have Sweet Easter Treats
Easter is typically a time to gather around with family, but we know that is so much harder these days. For the students at Interlochen Arts Academy, they aren't even able to see their families for the holiday.

That’s why a Northern Michigan woman wanted to make sure every student still feels some love!

Mary Bickey is affectionately known as the ‘Interlochen Grandma.’ She works for PMP Personnel Services and is a Traverse Connect Chamber Ambassador. Using her connections, she worked with businesses across Northern Michigan to secure donations.

“I do believe any little thing you do for anyone has a big impact,” Bickley said. “The smallest of actions can create a ripple effect and it is a philosophy I live by.”

Pet of the Week- Molly
This week we are highlighting our six-year-old German Shephard Molly!

Molly was a recent surrender, the previous owner said she was a bit too much for him. Molly does show some aggression toward other dogs while in her kennel but has done very well out in the yard through the fence. Molly will need a strong, self-assured owner that can handle and understand her breed. Molly is a very sweet girl with her humans. Very smart!
