Luncheon Lectures Looks at Sleight of Hand and the Art of Illusion

North Central Michigan College's Luncheon Lecture series will take a look at sleight of hand in a lecture entitled "The Art of Illusion". The program will be held in the Library Conference Center on the Petoskey campus. You will be presented with simple illusions that will entertain you, challenge you awareness and give insight into how your eyes, mind and thought process works. Presenter will be Mike Shore, retired vice president and chief risk officer of Consumers Energy. Tickets cost $12 and includes lunch. Free Lecture entitled "A Mosaic of Faiths: Exploring Northern India"

North Central Michigan College will offer a free international lecture on India in the Library Conference Center on the Petoskey campus. With its deep history and diverse religious and cultural traditions, India offers a fascinating window into the dynamics of belief and worship- particularly via its many temples and holy sites. Dr. Gary L Hauck who is Dean Emeritus at Montcalm Community College offers a reflection on this rich religious tapestry of India, and how it serves as a fine example of cultural pluralism and diversity.

Free Student Art Class during Spring Break "Stay-cation"!
Young Artist Atelier- Students will work with professional artist to be mentored in fine art techniques. Open to students from Middle to High School age using mixed media. Please call to sign up limit of 10 students. 231-547-3554.

Builder's Club Food Drive
The St. Mary Builder's Club had a food drive last week and made it a competition between all of the grades. Together they collected 688 food items! 4th and 5th grade brought in the most and won a pizza party! They will deliver to the Charlevoix Food Pantry on Monday, March 18th.

2019 Charlevoix Chamber Scholarship
We are now accepting applications for our 2019 Chamber Scholarship! Interested students can find more information on our website.

This scholarship is intended to provide financial support and assistance to an area high school senior that deserves assistance covering tuition expenses associated with higher education. We must receive application no later than Monday, April 15, 2019 at 5:00pm.
