This is Part Three about starting a series using my 5Cs. In Part One, we featured the concept of my new series of “Manna From Heaven”. Part Two was all about the Composition. This BobBlast finishes up with Continuing the Series—and why this is so important.
As a reminder, my 5Cs is a formula I use to organize my thoughts and set a goal for the painting before I start. Here is the list of the 5Cs:
•Concept
•Composition
•Color Combination
•Commitment
•Continue
The Composition of a painting refers to the arrangement of the structure - the graphic design. The established color combination for this series is Gold, Black, White and Gray.
Watch the Demo! I continue to work on two of the paintings in this series, started in the previous BobBlast.
Importance of Continuing the Series:
•Allows for a deeper exploration of a concept
•Encourages your Artistic voice
•Working repeatedly on the same concept can help refine your work. This is more than just technique, it’s about finding the essence about what makes your work uniquely yours.
Remember, a series is not all the same image repeated over and over, like TWINS. A series is more like SIBLINGS—all are different, but they have common elements.
Thank you for all the messages, comments and thumbs up for this series!
