New Benefit—Paid Paternal Leave!

We are pleased to share an exciting benefits update with you!

Effective Sept. 1, 2022, Paid Parental Leave will be available to our employees after 12 months of tenure! For detailed information, please refer to this policy.

Please note, for those who were recently on parental leave, we will apply this policy retroactively to June 1, 2022, and ensure you receive paid leave for your time away on or after that date. If you started parental leave before June 1, 2022, but were still on leave in June, you also will be entitled to receive paid leave for part of your time away under this new policy.

I hope you are pleased with this new benefits offering, which has been implemented to better support your well-being and work-life balance. We look forward to sharing more benefits enhancements with you in 2023!

Joining Together

Our Physicians Immediate Care and WellNow teams continue to join together—now on our websites and site doors, too!

Beginning this month, our Physicians Immediate Care and WellNow websites will be co-branded and our locations will be displayed and searchable on both sites.

In addition, our Physicians Immediate Care locations will feature new, co-branded door signage (see left).

New York Providers – Please Note Required Education Due Sept. 25

The following education is required by the New York State Department of Health for all licensed providers (MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs) who are enrolled with New York State Medicaid. This education must be completed by Sept. 25, 2022.

Quest Updates to Test Codes for Ordering SureSwab Tests

Quest has updated its test codes for ordering SureSwab tests within the lab interface. However, the swab utilized to perform these tests has not changed. The EMR preferred test lists have been updated with the correct codes. 

Please use the following new test codes:

• 10120: SureSwab Advanced Vaginitis Plus, TMA 
• 10119: SureSwab Advanced Vaginitis, TMA

Please note: The Urine Chlamydia and Gonorrhea Test has not changed, so please continue to use the following order:

• 11363: Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, RNA, TMA Urogenital

Under New York State Public Health Law §2995-a and Education Law §6524, New York State MDs and DOs are required to update their Physician Profile in the six (6) months prior to the expiration of your current registration period and submission of your biennial registration.
