Hello League Family!
As we reflect on the year and all that we've accomplished, we are grateful for the vibrant theatre community that continues to thrive in Chicago. The month of December brings with it moments of remembrance, celebration, and anticipation for the year ahead.
On World AIDS Day (December 1st), we pause to honor those we’ve lost, recognize the ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS, and highlight the arts as a powerful tool in spreading awareness and Season of Concern which serves and heals the artists within our community. Chicago’s theatre scene remains an important platform for storytelling that advocates for change and promotes inclusion. We are proud of the artists, organizations, and advocates who continue to raise their voices in support of the global movement.
This December also marks the launch of our Holiday Guide—a curated selection of the best shows and events to enjoy during the festive season. Whether you're seeking heartwarming performances, family-friendly productions, or thought-provoking theatre, our guide is your go-to source for making the most of Chicago’s holiday offerings. We encourage you to support local productions and create lasting memories with loved ones.
In addition, we are excited to announce the Hot Tix Half-Price Holiday Promotion! Be sure to check out the Hot Tix website for the latest discounts on tickets.
As we look ahead to 2025, we thank you for your unwavering commitment to Chicago theatre. It’s been a year full of creativity, resilience, and community, and will continue to build on this momentum as we move into the new year. We wish you a joyful and peaceful holiday season, and we can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.
With gratitude and excitement for the future,
The League of Chicago Theatres Team
