Hello Theatre Family!

This month is Disability Pride month and you can check out our cultural happenings page for shows and events to get involved. Can you believe it is already July?! Where did the time go? July marks a new fiscal year for the League and looking back I am so proud of the hard work we have all done to make sure amazing stories are shared across our stages, parks, schools and communities. Look for our annual wrap up report at the end of the month where we will recap all of our programs, campaigns and events and their impact. Just as a reminder, we already have some great data to work with from our CTW report this year, and the Arts Alliance has issued a new economic impact report of the arts in Chicago and Illinois. We know how important this information is in writing grants and garnering support from donors. Look for our Hot Tix wrap report and a new annual sales survey of the membership coming soon to your inbox. We want to continue to make the case on stage through our art and data through our numbers for those who learn and process in different ways. Whether it is seeing a show or reading a report, we want everyone to know that what we do makes significant impact.

I want to encourage everyone to get outside and have some fun with family and friends, enjoy the sunshine, stay hydrated from the heat and rest! Many times we are so caught in building the experiences for others that we delay making our own. The League team has some exciting things planned for this new year and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you. Looking ahead, we encourage you to support the League through buying a gala ticket to our annual Spotlight Gala, make sure you’re listed in our member directory along with your shows for the fall theatre guide and let us know if you’re interested in hosting an event next year.

The League and Hot Tix office will be closed tomorrow, July 3.

Have a wonderful summer!
