A Message from Head of School, Dan Quesnel

Dear Oakwood Community,

I hope this email finds you doing well. This Friday, we will host our annual Monk Madness event to introduce our winter athletic teams and celebrate our state champion Boys Cross Country Team. The event will begin during the school day with a pep rally for our students in Monk Hall. This will be followed by scrimmage games for all our basketball teams and will then shift outside where we will have games and activities for everyone to enjoy as well as a free cookout including hot dogs and hamburgers. I would like to extend an invitation to everyone to join us, as well as a big thank you to our Eagle Booster Club for hosting this annual tradition and providing a free, family-friendly event for Oakwood.

While Veterans Day falls on a Saturday this year, I wanted to take a moment to thank all veterans everywhere and especially those veterans who are part of the Oakwood community. Your service and sacrifice for our country and your commitment to keeping us all safe is greatly appreciated. With that in mind, please see below to enjoy a song of appreciation from some of our 2nd grade students. Thanks again to all of our veterans as well as our active service members.

Go Eagles!

In recognition of her immeasurable contributions, we are proud to introduce the Reita Watson Fund. This endowment is a testament to her enduring impact, one that will shape the lives of Lower School students for years to come. By contributing to this fund, you're not only honoring Reita's memory but also ensuring that her legacy continues to thrive within our school community.
