The digitization and installation of the new organ console is complete. The console has been placed in front of the pipes where the organist will be able to see and hear the service. You will notice the different location on Sunday when you enter the sanctuary. The pipes and the sound have not changed, but our ability to maintain the organ will be greatly improved. Financial support for this project came from the Gabard Music Fund.

Lenten Dinner and Teaching Series
|

On Wednesdays - April 10th
|
Wednesday Evening Lenten Dinner Series "Stories of Grace" from a variety of sources, (books, movies, music and culture) will continue on April 10th, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Childcare will be available in the Gabard Building.

Men in Blue
will be cooking a Fish Fry for the final Wednesday Evening Lenten Dinner Series on April 10th. Members of the Men in Blue please plan to arrive as soon as you can to help set up and cook. We will start around 3:00.

Adult Sunday School Series
|
|
Father Dave will continue a six-week Adult Sunday School series on the "The First Prayer Book: The book of Psalms", on Sunday April 7, 2019. Each week we'll discuss a different kind of psalm. Classes will be in the front of the Parish Hall beginning at 11:15 a.m.

Sunday, April 7, 2019 we invite anyone who has a birthday in the month of April to come forward during worship at the appropriate time of the service to receive a Birthday Prayer.

New way to Donate to Christ Church
|
|
Donations to Christ Church can now be made via giving through PayPal or Credit Card.
We now have three ways to give.
1)
Give by check. Checks can still be dropped in the offering plate, or mailed to the church office.
2)
Give by online Bill Pay. This process is done through your banking account.
3)
Give through PayPal or Credit Card. There is a new donate button at the bottom of this email message, and there is also a new Donate tab on the Christ Church website.

Sundays when VSU is in session
|
Noon Sunday Service - geared toward college students that the interns will help lead. These services will be an informal Rite II Eucharist with the same sermon as the 8:00 and 10:00 services and will run on the weekends when VSU is in session, the remaining Sundays this semester:

Friday Morning Bible Study
|
Friday Morning Bible Study will meet on April 12
from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Office Chapel. Friday Morning Bible Study will not meet on April 19th or April 26th. We will meet again on May 3rd. All are welcome to attend.

Tuesday Evening Bible Study
|

Tuesday Evening Bible Study led by Willa Valencia will meet on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the home of Ron and Tammy Borders. All are welcome. Study begins at 7:30 p.m.

| DR Ticket Deadline: April 28 |
| DR Dinner and Auction on May 3 |
April 28 is the last day to purchase tickets for our annual DR Dinner and Auction on May 3. Funds from this event support scholarships for children who attend the Episcopal K-8 school in the village of El Pedregal, our mission field in the Dominican Republic. Tickets will be on sale in the church office and in the parish hall after the 10 a.m. service.
