Confirmation with Bishop Benhase will be
10:00 Sunday, October 13. In preparation for those being confirmed, received, or reaffirmed, we are having a Sunday School class, "The New Life of Grace", September 8 through September 29, in the Parish Hall following the 10:00 service. This is open for all adults and youth interested in confirmation, and anyone else who would like to join us as we cover the basics of the Christian faith, The Book of Common Prayer, the Episcopal Church and living "the new life of grace"-we'll have fun with it! We will also have a
dessert gathering at the rectory
7:00 Wednesday, October 9 just for those who will be prayed over by Bishop Benhase on October 13. This will likely be Bishop Benhase's final Sunday visit at Christ Church as acting bishop, so please join us on October 13 if you can. :)

Sundays when VSU is in session

| Noon Sunday Service - geared toward college students that the interns will help lead. These services will be an informal Rite II Eucharist with the same sermon as the 8:00 and 10:00 services and will run on the weekends when VSU is in session, the following Sundays: September 8, 15, 22, 29; October 20, 27; November 3, 10, 24; December 8. Even if you are not a college student, you are more than welcome to join us. Please keep this ministry in your prayers as we seek to receive the grace of God in Jesus Christ and share that grace with college students. |

will be begin on Sunday, September 8, 2019 in the Gabard Building from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Deacon Nancy Sartin will be leading this group.

Saturday, September 7, 2019 beginning at 11:00

Lunch Bunch will meet in the Parish Hall beginning at 11:00 a.m. on September 7, 2019.
The Christ Church Valdosta Lunch Bunch feeds 120 or more hungry children every first and third Saturday of the month. Workers from the church as well as other members of the community who volunteer gather at 11 a.m. at Christ Church to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They pack them in plastic bags, then brown paper bags with logo stickers together with chips, fruit, juice and other healthy goodies purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank. Volunteers are welcome.

EYC:
Middle School EYC will meet in the Gabard Building on Sundays beginning at 6:30 p.m. High School EYC will meet in the Gabard Building on Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. Dinner will be served and we'll have lots of fun and fellowship! Any questions - call or text Molly Stevenson (229) 292-8215.

For years, the Stitchers of Love have been creating and donating countless prayer shawls, lap blankets, scarves, baby hats and blankets, and other items. We would like to invite our Christ Church family to visit the Stitchers' shelf in the parish hall and to take home any of the tagged items as a comfort gift for yourself or to take to someone else. Each has been made with love and prayers, and each has been blessed at the Christ Church altar. If you have any questions or would like help in choosing, see Frances Guice, Pepi Nelson, Patricia Marks, or any of the Stitchers. Stitchers of Love meets the first and third Sunday of each month from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. All are welcome to come stitch, or learn to stitch. We have many teachers.
