Advent Wreath Making will be held December 1, 2019 in the Parish Hall beginning at 11:15. There will be no Adult or Youth Sunday School. We need assistance with some fresh greenery (Holly, Ivy, Laurel, etc.) for use in making the wreaths. If you have some greenery, please bring to the Parish Hall on Sunday, December 1, 2019. Please contact Millie Johnson if you have any questions. |
Beginning Sunday, December 1st and continuing through Advent, Father Dave's new book of sermons, Grace to Help in Time of Need will be on sale during coffee hour on Sunday mornings, and available at the church office. Cost is $10 per book, with 100% of the proceeds going toward the Youth Mission Trip and Grace Cafe. Copies of previous sermon books will also be available.

We at Christ Church have been blessed with many visitors, and new members. To help us place names with faces, we will be having First Sunday Name-tag Day. When you arrive at church on Sunday, December 1st, the ushers will have blank name-tags available for you. Please fill one out, and wear, so we can get to know our expanding church family better. Thank you for your assistance.

Pledge cards
Thanks so much to all of you who have already submitted your pledge! 2020 pledge cards are still being accepted. Each and every pledge is very helpful as we continue Christ Church's ministry and mission of receiving God's grace and sharing it with one another and the world. Pledge cards are available at the church, or if it's easier for you, you can also simply email your pledge amount to our bookkeeper, Amy Creasy at [email protected]

First and Third Saturdays at 11:00 a.m.
|
The Christ Church Valdosta Lunch Bunch feeds 120 or more hungry children every first and third Saturday of the month. Workers from the church as well as other members of the community who volunteer gather at 11 a.m. at Christ Church to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They pack them in plastic bags, then brown paper bags with logo stickers together with chips, fruit, juice and other healthy goodies purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank. Volunteers are welcome.
Would you like to be able to contribute to our Lunch Bunch outreach? We are in need of fruit cups. Fruit cups can be brought to the church during working hours: Monday - Thursday from 9-12, 1-3, and Friday from 9-12. Thanks for your help!

For years, the Stitchers of Love have been creating and donating countless prayer shawls, lap blankets, scarves, baby hats and blankets, and other items. We would like to invite our Christ Church family to visit the Stitchers' shelf in the parish hall and to take home any of the tagged items as a comfort gift for yourself or to take to someone else. Each has been made with love and prayers, and each has been blessed at the Christ Church altar. If you have any questions or would like help in choosing, see Frances Guice, Pepi Nelson, Patricia Marks, or any of the Stitchers. Stitchers of Love meets the first and third Sunday of each month from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. All are welcome to come stitch, or learn to stitch. We have many teachers.
