Adult Sunday School Series

 Dr. Jane Kinney and Father Dave will conclude a three-week Adult Sunday School series on the poems of Anglican priest and poet George Herbert (1593-1633) on February 24. Classes will be in the Parish Hall.

South West Convocation Ultreya

Southwest Convocation Ultreya will be held at Christ Church on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 10:00 - Noon. This Ultreya is for all Cursillistas and persons interested in learning about Cursillo. We shall share coffee and tea, witness talk, group reunion, upcoming Cursillo information and Eucharist.

Sundays when VSU is in session

Noon Sunday Service - geared toward college students that the interns will help lead. These services will be an informal Rite II Eucharist with the same sermon as the 8:00 and 10:00 services and will run on the weekends when VSU is in session, the following Sundays this Winter:
February 24; March 3, 10, 31; April 7, 14. Even if you are not a college student, you are more than welcome to join us. Please keep this ministry in your prayers as we seek to receive the grace of God in Jesus Christ and share that grace with college students.

IT'S BACK! - SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER - Tuesday, March 5, 5:30 - 7:30 PM in the parish hall. All proceeds will benefit the High School Mission Trip scheduled for this summer. Menu includes pancakes, syrup, bacon, sausage, milk, juice and coffee. Donations accepted. (If you have an electric griddle we could borrow, please contact Molly Stevenson - 292-8215) Come out and support the high school mission trip.

College Dinner Funding Opportunity: Our Thursday Dinners for the college ministry are bursting at the seams, with anywhere from 70 to 100 VSU students coming each week. Every Thursday evening they pour into Grace Café for an awesome home cooked meal, and they also hear a brief message about God's grace. These dinners are free for the students because the gospel of God's grace is free to all of us-as expressed in the motto of Grace Café ("It's not cheap; it's free"). To help support financially the rapid growth of this ministry we are seeking sponsorship for 25 Thursday Dinners (12 remaining dinners for the spring semester and 13 for the fall semester). Dinners are approximately $350 each. If you would like to sponsor or help sponsor a dinner please contact Jeani Synyard (

May 3rd is the date of the 2019 Dominican Republic Dinner and Auction. It will be held at the Cotton Corner, 101 N. Ashley Street, Valdosta, at 6 p.m. We will have more details later about auction items and scholarship donation opportunities. But, for now, mark your calendars.
