Welcome to Spring(ing forward)! Daylight saving time starts this weekend, when we turn our clocks forward an hour starting at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 12.
This is the "bad" switch, when we "lose" an hour of sleep over night. The time change can make us sleepier than usual, so be careful if you drive early on Sunday morning.
☺
The good news is that the sun will seem to rise and set later in the day than it does now, so we have more time to enjoy the daylight during the hours we are normally awake - after work.

Mark your calendars for March 10-11, 2017 there will be a Women's Retreat Weekend held at Christ Church. Friday, March 10 from 6-9 p.m., Snacks and Fun. Saturday, March 11 beginning at 9 a.m. with a light breakfast and coffee. We will have lunch and conclude at 2:00 p.m. All women are invited to attend.

Wednesday Evening Lenten Dinner Series "No Greater Love: Reflections on the Cross" began March 8 and will run through April 5, 2017 from 6:40 - 7:45 p.m.
Childcare will be provided in Gabard each Wednesday night from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Each Wednesday we will provide a yummy dinner for the kids. After dinner we will do a fun Bible Science activity!
Kids will learn that with Jesus we will always have all that we need! Please join us for this fun and exciting Bible Science series!

Saturday, March 25, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m.

20's & 30's Group are invited for food, fun and fellowship at the Rectory on Saturday, March 25th beginning at 6:00 p.m. The main course and drinks will be provided; each participant is asked to bring a side dish, salad or dessert.
The Gabard Building will be open and staffed for nursery and/or childcare. Dinner will be provided for them as well.

Children's Choir Practice

The Children's Choir
(PreK 3s - 5th Grade) will be performing during the 10:00 service on Easter Sunday, April 16th. Karen May will begin practice each Sunday through April 9th during the first 15 minutes of Sunday School.

Please bring individually wrapped candy (no chocolate please) and plastic eggs to the church office between now and Wednesday, April 12th. Our annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 11:00 Easter Morning! Many thanks in advance for your generosity!

EYC - High School EYC meets on Sundays at 6:30pm in the Gabard building.
Starting Wednesday, March 8th, the EYC middle school group will eat dinner with the rest of the church for the Lenten teaching series (dinner is at 6:40pm) and then go to EYC. We will end the same time as the teaching series.

ECF (Episcopal College Fellowship) -
Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered to help cook for our college students! Family dinners are on Thursdays at 7:30 pm. We also have two small groups during the week one on Tuesdays at 2:00 PM and one on Fridays at 9:30 AM. Both small groups meet in the Student Union.

The Stitchers of Love will be meeting Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 4 - 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

We need fruit cups for Lunch Bunch. Please consider picking up a six pack of fruit cups when you do your family grocery shopping. The children love the fruit and the Lunch Bunch volunteers appreciate it.

| New Images of DR House Site |

Six new photographs of the clearing of the house site in El Pedregal came in on Wednesday, and they are available along with earlier photographs of the site at the link below. Leidy Rosario and Padre Daniel Samuel are both sending us progress photographs from time to time so we can see what's happening from approximately 1,500 miles away. In June, our "Go Team" members will get to see the site in person, but we wanted everyone on both the "Home Team" and the "Go Team" to be able to see the progress right now. Enjoy!
