Spring Break Mission Trip 2022

We invite you to lift up in prayer our group participating in the Mission Trip this week. We have 10 students, along with Fr. Wade, Daniel Porting, and our FOCUS missionaries who will travel to Denver, Colorado, to serve with Catholic Charities of Denver until next Saturday!
90th Anniversary - A Look Back
Bishop Burns has been a great supporter of the Catholic ministry at SMU. Listen to why he values this ministry so much!

We hope you enjoy these short videos of friends of the ministry as we approach our special 90th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Visit smucatholic.org/90years for the full list of interviews!
Stations of the Cross
Join us today after the 12:10PM Daily Mass for Stations of the Cross. The Stations of the Cross are a 14-step Catholic devotion that commemorates Jesus Christ's last day on earth, beginning with His condemnation. Worship guides will be available. This is a great way to contemplate Christ's death during Lent.
Support the Catholic Campus Ministry during
SMU Giving Day - March 22
March 22 is “SMU Giving Day”, which is the University’s annual one-day giving challenge. This year, Catholic Campus Ministry at SMU will be included among the student organizations towards which participants can designate their gifts! All ministry-designated gifts received on this day will be used to fund our student retreats - which play a vital role in helping students to deepen their faith and form a tight-knit community. Stay tuned for further details including the giving link!
Servant Leadership Council (SLC)
Applications for the 2022-2023 Servant Leadership Council (SLC) are now available! Serving on SLC is a great way to share your gifts and talents to further our ministry’s mission on campus, while also being formed as a leader in an intentional relationship with Christ. Applications are due by Sunday, March 27 at midnight. Feel free to reach out to campus ministers Christina Roncal ([email protected]) or Daniel Porting ([email protected]) with any questions!

Night of Reconciliation
Has it been a while since you have approached the Sacrament of Reconciliation? Could you use a refresher on what this sacrament is all about, and how to participate? This Lent, we invite you to take a step closer to the Lord by encountering His mercy through this sacrament of healing.

Join us on Wednesday, March 30, at 7:30PM at Perkins Chapel for an overview and walkthrough of this impactful sacrament, followed by an opportunity to go to Reconciliation with Fr. Wade Bass or Fr. Paul Bechter either behind a screen or face-to-face. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament also will be available.
