Pledges for 2018
Wednesday, November 1, 2017
As you know, we are in the middle of pledge season here at Christ Church.  So far we are doing very well.  Thanks so much to all of you who have already submitted your pledge!  If you have not yet submitted a 2018 pledge, we hope you will and humbly ask that it be submitted by November 1st if possible.  Each and every pledge is very helpful as we continue Christ Church's ministry and mission of receiving God's grace and sharing it with one another and the world.  Pledge cards are available at the church, or if it's easier for you, you can also simply email your pledge amount to our bookkeeper, Amy Creasy.  Thanks so much!

Each year, at Christmas, the people of this ministry package gifts for the mariners that includes a warm hand made item of clothing as well as a few small gifts for their use during their long months at sea.

We plan to mail a large box of hats and scarves to New Jersey next month.  We would like to include some gifts in our box.  Here is a list of items they need:
  • Unscented, Colorless Lip Balm
  • Unscented, Hypoallergenic Hand Lotion (2-4oz bottles)

  • Books or Activities like Sudoku, word searches, or playing cards

Please feel free to put your donations in our box in the Parish Hall.  The box is currently sitting on top of our Stitchers' bookcase.  You can place your items anywhere on the bookcase area.

Thank you so much for your support.  Questions?  Pepi Nelson.
The GA Diocesan DR Teams
Our DR mission team was one of four in 2017
Our "Go Team" missioners who worked in the Dominican Republic this past June made up one team out of four that were sponsored in 2017 by churches in the Diocese of Georgia, which has a companion relationship with the Diocese of the Dominican Republic. All four teams will be featured in an exhibit at the upcoming convention of the Diocese of Georgia in downtown Valdosta from November 9-11, 2017, and descriptions of their projects and other accomplishments are included in the annual report of the Companion Diocese Commission which will be printed in the convention booklet and available to all delegates. If you would like to see that report now, click the link below:
