Bishop Benhase will be at Christ Church, Sunday,
October 13th at 10:00 a.m. There will be NO 8:00 or 12:00 service this day. This will likely be Bishop Benhase's final Sunday visit at Christ Church as acting bishop, so please join us on October 13 if you can. :)

Walkabout at Christ Church

Candidates for the 11th Bishop of Georgia have been announced. Candidate bio's videos, Curriculum Vitae's and responses to three questions posed by the Search Committee can be found
here.
Members of the Diocese of Georgia will have the opportunity to meet the candidates in person at a Walkabout to five locations across the diocese from October 22-25, 2019 before the November election at Diocesan Convention.
Christ Church will host one of the walkabouts on October 24, 2019 beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Sundays when VSU is in session

| Noon Sunday Service - geared toward college students that the interns will help lead. These services will be an informal Rite II Eucharist with the same sermon as the 8:00 and 10:00 services and will run on the weekends when VSU is in session, the following Sundays: October 20, 27; November 3, 10, 24. Even if you are not a college student, you are more than welcome to join us. Please keep this ministry in your prayers as we seek to receive the grace of God in Jesus Christ and share that grace with college students. |

College Ministry Dinners are in full swing.

Foyer Groups -
As you know, here at Christ Church we receive God's grace in Jesus Christ and share that grace with one another and the world. One of the primary ways you can share grace with one another here at Christ Church is through Foyer Groups, monthly casual dinner gatherings with other parishioners. We will be forming these Foyer Groups in September. This is a great opportunity to have fun and get to know others at Christ Church. EYC:
Middle School EYC will meet in the Gabard Building on the first and third Sundays of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. High School EYC will meet in the Gabard Building each Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. Dinner will be served and we'll have lots of fun and fellowship! For years, the Stitchers of Love have been creating and donating countless prayer shawls, lap blankets, scarves, baby hats and blankets, and other items. We would like to invite our Christ Church family to visit the Stitchers' shelf in the parish hall and to take home any of the tagged items as a comfort gift for yourself or to take to someone else. Each has been made with love and prayers, and each has been blessed at the Christ Church altar. If you have any questions or would like help in choosing, see Frances Guice, Pepi Nelson, Patricia Marks, or any of the Stitchers. Stitchers of Love meets the first and third Sunday of each month from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. All are welcome to come stitch, or learn to stitch. We have many teachers.
