We have reached the middle of April, and the chamber is looking forward to some exciting events on the horizon.


Next week, manufacturers are invited to a networking event and cyber security presentation by Charles IT on Tuesday, April 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Brushmill by the Waterfall, Chester. The chamber’s Business and Education Partnership is still looking for presenters for the annual High School Career Fair Expo- A Career Exploration Event, scheduled for Thursday, April 24 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Whether you work in business, healthcare, skilled trades, manufacturing, the arts, STEM, government, or another sector, you are invited to present/ exhibit and share your valuable career experiences and perspectives with Middlesex County High School Students. *Please note, this is a career exploration event, not a hiring fair. The following week, all are invited to join us for a Legislative Leadership Series Breakfast featuring Speaker of the House Matt Ritter on Wednesday, April 30 from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. at the Inn at Middletown. At this special meeting, Speaker Ritter will visit with chamber members to discuss the 2025 Regular Session of the Connecticut General Assembly. That weekend, get ready for an evening of laughs, auctions, and fundraising at our Real Estate Council's Annual Comedy Night & Auction on Saturday, May 3. This event, sponsored by ServPro of Middletown/ New Britain and Caleb Carney State Farm, will take place from 6:30 – 10:30 p.m. at the Middletown Elks Crystal Ballroom, and will feature comedian Billy Winn and guests as well as incredible silent and live auction items! All proceeds benefit the Middlesex Chamber Recovery Employment Program (REP) – a life-changing initiative helping individuals in recovery rebuild their lives through job coaching, placement, and life skills training.

Legislative Leadership Series Event featuring

Speaker of the House Matt Ritter

Join us for the latest installment of our Legislative Leadership Series featuring Speaker of the House Matt Ritter on Wednesday, April 30 from 8:00-9:00 a.m. at the Inn at Middletown.


During this special meeting, Speaker Ritter will visit with chamber members to discuss the 2025 Regular Session of the Connecticut General Assembly. The chamber's Board of Directors and Legislative Committee will have the opportunity to ask questions about the session, and discuss some important issues on our 2025 Public Policy Agenda.


Your presence at this meeting will make an impact, and will be helpful as we continue to strengthen our relationship with legislative leadership.
