The chamber office will be closed and operating remotely this Friday, March 28, 2025 as we continue the process of our building renovation. As you know, the Chamber building on Main Street, Middletown has been key to serving our members and staff for decades. It is, however, in need of significant improvements to ensure we can operate efficiently and continue the good work of the Chamber for years to come. Last year, thanks to the great support of Senator Matt Lesser and Governor Ned Lamont, the chamber was awarded an incredible $3.285 million in support of building renovations which will allow us to install energy-efficient windows throughout the building, remodel the main floor offices, and much more. We will have much more on renovation details as the project progresses. I would like to once again give a huge thank you to our building committee for their dedication and support of this renovation and the chamber as a whole.

Calling all real estate professionals! Join the chamber’s Real Estate Council for “Business Unplugged”, scheduled for this Thursday, March 27 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Torrison Stone & Garden, Durham. Connect with fellow real estate professionals while gaining valuable insights into enhancing your property’s curb appeal and increasing its value, courtesy of Torrison Stone & Garden’s team of expert landscapers. Your donations of non-perishable food items will go directly to Amazing Grace Food Pantry and St. Vincent DePaul, helping local families in need.

The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce is proud to host our bi-annual Job Fair on Wednesday, April 9 at the Courtyard by Marriot Hartford Cromwell from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Employers: If you're searching for local, qualified job candidates, then this is the job fair for you! This is your opportunity to promote your business and find the talent you've been searching for! Unlike other fairs that are profit-driven, our main objective is connecting highly skilled and qualified job seekers with employment opportunities your company has to offer. For more info on participating, please visit: https://www.middlesexchamber.com/careerfair/. A special thank you to the Connecticut Department of Labor and Workforce Alliance for their continued support of this event, and so many Middlesex Chamber programs!

Looking ahead to May, join us on May 1 for our 2025 Small Business Awards from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. at St. Clements Castle, Portland. Each year, 12 Middlesex Chamber businesses are recognized for demonstrating exemplary “Best Practices” during our Small Business Awards ceremony. Businesses are nominated by fellow chamber members for displaying: business growth and performance, customer service strategies, unique and innovative approaches, and community involvement and contribution.
