The main event for this week is our Business After Work, hosted by the Wadsworth Mansion, Middletown, taking place tomorrow, May 14 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Chamber members and their key employees are invited to join the chamber staff and fellow business members for an evening of networking and light hors d’oeuvres. We are asking a suggested donation of $5.00 to raise funds for Chamber Youth Programs at this event. This is a great networking opportunity, so don't forget your business cards! Next week, our HR Council will be holding a workshop titled, “Recruitment, Engagement, and Hiring”. Join us on Tuesday, May 20 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. via Zoom as we explore effective strategies for attracting top talent, fostering candidate engagement, and building a successful hiring process. A special thank you to Allison Ebner, President, Employers Association of the NorthEast (EANE) for presenting to our group. Click here to join us. HR Council presents "Recruitment, Engagement and Hiring"

The Middlesex Chamber’s HR Council will be holding a 2-part workshop series focusing on recruitment and onboarding.


The first installment of the series titled, “Recruitment, Engagement, and Hiring” will be held next Tuesday, May 20 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. via Zoom.


During this presentation, led by Allison Ebner, President, Employers Association of the NorthEast (EANE), attendees will discover proven strategies to master recruitment, boost engagement, and hire with confidence.

Golf Clinic and 9-Hole Tournament Returns to Lyman’s Apple Nine

 

Building on last year’s success, we will once again offer a golf clinic and 9-hole tournament at Lyman’s Apple Nine Course—perfect for those who can't break away from the office for the whole day, and looking to sharpen their skills in a more relaxed setting!

 

This 9-Hole tournament will include a clinic with Lyman's PGA and LPGA Instructors, 9 holes of golf with cart, lunch, cocktail hour and dinner!

 

The event will give you a chance to participate in a less intimidating way and allows you to join your fellow Chamber members from the full day tournament for the post golf activity including dinner and awards.
