PRAYER

Join us for an incredible time of prayer as we intercede for friends and family and come before our amazing Lord with adoration and praise. Led by Jess and Blanca Farol.

Please pray:

  • Pastor Joe shared in Acts 8:26- 31, "Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, 'Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.' This is desert. So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. Then the Spirit said to Philip, 'Go near and over take tis chariot.' So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, 'Do you understand what you are reading?' And he said, 'How can I, unless someone guides me?' And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him."
  • From Pastor Joe: "This is a classic example of a Divine Appointment. As we go through life, these are the kinds of appointments that God orchestrates to reach those that He has prepared to receive Him, as well as prepare His people who will introduce the Lord to them. We can expect them throughout our lives, knowing that God will use us to bring the gospel. We need to be people who anticipate a divine appointment, seeing reasons in where God has you in life and where He calls you (there are no accidents or coincidences)." Pray we are ready for our Divine Appointments.
  • For traveling mercies as so many are traveling for the holidays.
  • For quick healing for those dealing with the latest cold/flu or other health issues.
  • For the homeless who are out in the elements at night. Pray for warmth and shelter.

MISSIONS AROUND THE WORLD

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. And you will be my witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

MISSIONS UPDATES

By Mary Van Riper

It's November and each month we will be honoring one of our missionaries. Rick and Cindy Johnston are our missionaries from Northern Ireland and have been serving the people there since June 2009. They have been able to be deeply involved in the dynamic international Christian activities occurring in town and reaching out into other communities. They continue to pray, disciple and minister to individuals throughout the week as well as leading Bible Studies and teaching Sunday mornings. Please continue to pray the Lord's blessings over them as they follow our Savior's lead.
