Vacation Bible School 2023

Summer Camp for Jesus was a great success. We had a total of 23 campers this year. Campers were greeted each morning with a Godly play lesson and devotion from Father Hal and Michelle. We took part in spreading the love for Jesus through acts of kindness including: blessing bags, filling the free pantry, learning about our ministry “Lunch Bunch and decorating those bags including a friendship bracelet with an encouraging message. We took a field trip to 5th Day Farms where we were greeted by some of God’s special four legged friends. The kids were able to feed and interact with many amazing animals. Among all of our fun we learned about taking care of the earth as we collected and upcycled fun projects. We finished out the week with a water day including water slides, water balloons, pizza and a visit from the ice cream truck.

A special thanks to all the volunteers: Tricia Gatchell, Molly Ferrier, Chris Roan, Janda Tuner, Anne Shenton, Elise Sandbach, Sally Baker, Maddie Yarborough

Thanks to Michael Black for always helping set up the water slide hoses and Kathy Armstrong for donating snacks.

Christ Church is blessed to have so many amazing children with a heart for their friends, community and Jesus.

 Pictorial Directory

We would like to update our Christ Church Members and Friends directory. If you are new to Christ Church, if you did not have an opportunity to have your family's picture in the last directory, or just want to update your old picture, we are making a form available Directory Form. We would like to make this an all-in pictorial directory, so if you have a favorite family photo, or a selfie (landscape format) and can also send that to the church office we would appreciate it. Julius and Julia Ariail will be available this Sunday to take pictures after the 10:00 worship service in the parish hall.
Hello Christ Church,
We would like to identify veterans, military personnel and their families in our church. We would also like to identify their needs and ways the church can be of help. Filling out a survey will aid us in getting started. Suggestions and opinions from all, not just military or veterans, will be appreciated. - Katherine Mayer, Fr. Hal

A Prayer for Ukraine
God of peace and justice, we pray for the people of Ukraine today. We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons. We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them. We pray for those with power over war or peace for wisdom, discernment, and compassion to guide their decisions. Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them. We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
Amen.
