A WEEK IN REVIEW

The City received the annual public agency roadside tree care permit for 2020 from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Forest Service to perform tree care along streets in the right-of-way.

A second College Park Woods Community Building – Design/Build meeting was held on Thursday evening, December 19 to allow the community to review preliminary building design plans for the new Woods Community facility.

The Route 1 safety barrier from Bentley’s to Hartwick is 90% completed. We have a few more adjustments to make next week.

Curbside leaf collection is on schedule. December 23-27 curbside collection will be in SA5-Rhode Island Ave west, and SA6-Rhode Island Ave East. Please understand that the leaf vacuum can’t reach around or under cars; we attempt to come back to get leaves that were blocked, but many times they are still unreachable.

The Department of Public Works would like to thank the residents of College Park who extended holiday wishes and expressed their appreciation during the past year. We are proud to serve you!.
