All City Offices Will Be Closed for the Following January Holidays:

All City offices will be closed Monday, January 18 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Wednesday, January 20 for Inauguration Day. Monday’s regular collection will shift to Tuesday; Tuesday's regular collection will shift to Thursday, and Wednesday’s regular collection will shift to Friday. There will be no special collections.

MDOT SHA Upcoming Project Activity Notice

US 1 (Baltimore Ave) College Park Improvement Project between College Avenue/Regents Drive and MD 193 (University Blvd) reconstruction project. Expect intermittent off-peak northbound and southbound lane closures on US 1 and MD 193, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and overnight, 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., seven days a week through year-end 2023. (PG624)

Curbside Leaf Collections:
Curbside Leaf Collection will be winding down and completed on January 13th. Going forward, please bag or containerize your leaves for collection on your regular scheduled trash/recycling day. If you have more than 3 bags, call for a special collection.

Recycling Tip of the Week

Three Rules to Recycle Right:
1.     Recycle clean bottles, cans, paper and cardboard.
2.     Keep food and liquid out of your recycling.
3.     No loose plastic bags and don’t bag your recyclables.
Noise and Nuisance Municipal Infractions
December 21 - December 27, 2020
There was one Municipal Infraction issued for the Noise Ordinance and none issued for the Nuisance (Unruly Social Gathering) Ordinance.

December 11 - December 17, 2020
12/12 Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Speed Enforcement) in the 9000 Baltimore Avenue and issued 57 “Mobile” Camera violations.

12/12 Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Speed Enforcement) in the 7000 Baltimore Avenue and issued 7 “Mobile” Camera violations.

12/12 Contract officers responded to a call for service in the 6800 block of Baltimore Avenue for a party complaint. Officers observed over 90 persons at the party and a student referral was submitted.

12/15 Contract officer issued a citation for a person driving the wrong way on 49th Avenue and Berwyn Road.

12/15 Contract officers assisted on duty investigators with a search and seizure warrant in the 8100 block of 48th Avenue.
