U.S. Route 1 Temporary Lane Closure this Weekend
Beginning, Saturday, November 13 at 4:00 a.m., Crane Service will perform a mobile crane operation to take down a tower crane at 8430 Baltimore Ave (US 1) from Berwyn Road to Quebec Street. Weather and progress permitting, all work should be complete no later than 8:00 p.m. that day. In case of inclement weather, the work will begin at 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 14.
To complete this work, crews are permitted to close both southbound lanes and center turn lane on Baltimore Avenue (US-1) within the project limits. TES will direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic through the work zone during all working hours. Pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists should travel undistracted through the work zone. At least one traffic lane in both directions will remain open during this work. Drivers can continue to use northbound Baltimore Avenue (US-1) as northbound traffic will be shifted right to allow southbound traffic to travel on the he northbound travel lane. Drivers should add extra commute time for potential traffic impacts for this work.
Those with questions regarding the work should contact Lauren Dick, Project Coordinator with TES, at 443-531-8228 or 240-302-3099.

*Note: If we have already been down your street, we will not return until the next scheduled collection, so put your leaves out by the first day advertised. Click here for the leaf calendar for November.
Curbside Leaf Collection Tips
-
Bagging is not necessary during leaf collection with vacuums. Grass can be included in your leaf piles, but no sticks, branches, vines, or woody materials (as these items require a special collection).
- Rake leaves to the curb but do not put them in the street. Pile leaves away from cars and storm drains as the leaf vacuum cannot reach around cars.
- Remove tree limbs, rocks, trash, and other debris from leaves to be collected. These items damage the equipment and cause delays.
- Noise and dust may be noticeable as dry conditions generate more dust. We apologize for any inconvenience.
- Weekly yard waste collections on regular trash collection days are ongoing, if yours is inadvertently missed, please call for a special collection.
