We Are Stronger Together
Dear Congregation,

For nearly 200 years, All Souls Church has been a pillar of community, diversity, and social justice reform. And each of you have contributed to the rich fabric that makes up the wonderful history of the church. If we are to continue on this journey together to build a Beloved Community, All Souls needs your financial support.

As you are aware, last year All Souls lost its charter school tenant resulting in a nearly $400,000 deficit in this year’s operating budget. Additionally, while our membership has grown, along with the programs and services we offer, contributions have not kept pace with that growth. The Board of Trustees and our entire leadership team is working hard to ensure that all of the great programming the church offers to support and enrich your spiritual walk are not impacted, but we cannot do it alone.

If you have never donated before, now is the time. If you have donated in the past, please consider increasing your pledge. We ask that every member donate $60 or more a week. If we all work together in the effort, the church will be able to continue to serve you, your family and our community.
Donating to All Souls is easy. Choose the option that’s most convenient for you.

  1. Put checks or cash (in a pew envelope with your name on it) in the basket as it passes each Sunday.
  2. Ask your bank to automatically send a check to All Souls each month.
  3. Set up an automatic draw from your credit card or bank account at www.all-souls.org/generosity.
  4. Text gifts to All Souls by texting “ASCU” to 73256.
  5. Contact Gary Penn (gpenn@allsouls.ws; 202.517.1465) to help you set up gifts.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Traci & Rob
Adult Spiritual Development
This fall, travel to the end of the world. The All Souls 2019 pilgrimage will reach Finesterre , on the northwest Spanish coast, once believed to be the end of the known world. Walk this ancient pilgrims’ route with others in our beloved community as we deepen our spirituality while considering the harsh reality of a changing climate and what that requires of us. Rev. Hardies will lead the group from Santiago, and we have spaces for six additional pilgrims. The base cost of $1,156/per person (add $274 for single occupancy) covers 9 nights, 9 breakfasts, 9 dinners, and baggage transport along the route. Airfare is not included. To learn more about the trip, contact Judy Leaver ( judy@jleaver.com ). September 22 to October 2.
