Submit your question for Rev. Hardies to Gary Penn ( asap. Rev. Rob will respond to as many questions as time permits.

Mindful Souls provides an opportunity to meet in community regularly at the church for meditation, followed by discussion led by congregants or others from our broader DC community. We welcome all who wish to attend. Every Sunday, 12:00 noon, classroom 2.

Migrant Solidarity Team Weekly Impacted Community Canvass . Many of our neighbors live in terror of deportation and being ripped from their lives and children. The urgency of these times calls us to be on the right side of history. Every Sunday after church, we canvass impacted neighborhoods to share information on ICE’s operations. We educate our neighbors on how to prevent arrests. We distribute a 24/7 emergency number to call if ICE is spotted. The number also connects people who need rides to ICE check-ins. We hand out “Know Your Rights” information, which is highly effective in keeping people out of detention. We head out in teams of two. Spanish, French, Hindi, or Arabic are helpful but not required. Bring a reusable water bottle and comfy shoes; we’ll provide all the rest. Every Sunday, 11:45 am, meet in the Reeb Lobby. A Sunday-morning-only volunteer job with great benefits. You’ve seen the Caring Card Table in Pierce Hall every Sunday; many of you come to sign the cards displayed there. Many of you have received the cards – of congratulations, condolence, get well, thinking of you, and more, all signed by All Souls congregants on Sunday morning. The cards are a missive of love to those among us. People who receive a card tell us that they very much appreciated the special outreach to them. We want and need a few more volunteers to give an hour at the Caring Card Table on Sundays whenever your schedule permits. There is no set schedule that you must adhere to. All details will be given to you in advance of your starting. Please help us continue the outreach and connection ministry that people appreciate so much.
