Recycling Sunshine and Smiles

Welcome everyone!

We hope that your family is off to a fantastic start of school! Thank you to our wonderful families that helped us share a little sunshine by placing welcome signs in the yards of our newest students. New families we hope you enjoyed the signs! When the time is right to take down your sign we would love to tuck it away to welcome new students next year, sort of a “recycled sunshine”. The signs can be brought to any of our campuses.

A special thank you Michelle Hermus & Kate Olson for coordinating our mentoring program and to Keri McCormick for managing the yard sign!

The Scrip Office is looking for 1-2 volunteers. We are looking for a single person for one day a week or two people who would like to share alternating weeks. The hours would be 8:00 - Noon on Mondays. If interested please contact Dave Teela,

dteela@xaviercatholicschools.org or call 920-702-5510.

We need your help! We are blessed to have four active and vibrant campuses that offer many different activities for our students and families. We are not always able to capture these events in photos. That's where you come in! We have created an email account to submit those photos for our use in upcoming yearbooks, on our website, through social media, in the X magazine, or in our other school publications.

When you are out and about at different events throughout the Xavier System and are taking pictures, please share them with us! You can email them to xcsphotos@xaviercatholicschools.org. Thank you!

Celebrate Brainstorming/Kickoff Volunteer Meeting:

Thursday, September 8th at noon in the XHS Library

Celebrate is the primary single event fundraiser benefitting the entire Xavier system. It is traditionally a gala with a dinner, auction, entertainment, etc. We are considering mixing it up and making some exciting changes—PLEASE come and help us brainstorm and decide what this year will look like.  Everyone is encouraged to volunteer as this event is a system-wide effort benefiting the entire school system. It is also a great way to get to know fabulous people from other campuses.

Celebrate meetings are held once a month. This year’s kickoff meeting will be held on Thursday, September 8th at noon in the library at Xavier High School (we will have people there giving directions to the library). At that meeting we will discuss the optimal meeting dates and times moving forward.

Please plan to join us to brainstorm and have some fun while we come together, catch up, and meet new friends. It takes many helping hands to make Celebrate a successful event and we really need great volunteers who want to have fun while getting things done. The meetings are also a great way to provide input and suggest any ideas you have. Children not in school yet are always welcome.

Bonus: there is always chocolate!

Questions or can’t attend, but still want to be involved? Contact Lisa Pfaff at lpfaff@XavierCatholicSchools.org or 735-9380.
