The St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System is always looking to hire individuals with a passion to inspire and motivate students. While teaching positions often come to mind when thinking about employment opportunities in our Catholic schools, there are many roles that are needed to ensure that we continue to offer high quality, faith-based education and support for our students. With this in mind, we currently have the following open positions as:

Substitute Teachers (all campuses)
Substitute Instructional Aides (XE & XMS)
Substitute Care Staff - AM & PM (XE)
Care Coordinator
Care Aides - Various hours

Details are available on the Xavier website under About → Employment Opportunities or available at: https://www.xaviercatholicschools.org/about/employment-opportunities

SCRIP NEWS

You may be familiar with the Scrip program through which both XCS and your family can earn rebates by purchasing gift cards. But are you familiar with all the different ways you can purchase and use these Scrip cards?  Many people choose not to utilize the program because they find it too inconvenient to pick up cards at the Scrip office or to have to carry around multiple cards.  Did you know you can take full advantage of the program without doing either of those things?! Here are some tips to maximize your rebates while minimizing your inconvenience.

Presto Pay: Presto Pay is a secure payment method that allows you to link your bank account to the Shopwithscrip website. By using Presto Pay, you never have to worry about dropping off a check. Once you are signed up for Presto Pay, you can easily utilize all of the convenient options available through Scrip.

E-cards: Most national brands offer the option of either a physical gift card or an e-card.  E-cards can be printed at home, emailed to someone as a gift or used right from a mobile device. When paying with Presto Pay, e-cards are available within 5 minutes of purchase!! This is also a great way to get cards that are not stocked in the Scrip office.

Reloadable cards: Many national brands offer Reloadable cards. Once you have purchased an initial card (physical or e-card) you can add additional funds to that card and do not have to purchase a new card! Many families love this feature and use it for adding money to a teenager’s gas card, or even a grocery gift card for a college student. With Presto Pay, these funds are added to the re-loadable card almost immediately!

RaiseRight App:  The RaiseRight App is a newer feature from Shopwithscrip. This mobile app allows you to store and access all your ecards in one place! The app allows you to order cards as well. You can go shopping at your favorite store without having to bring your purse or wallet because your Scrip cards are right on your phone and accessible in a matter of seconds!  How many times have you unexpectedly ended up at a store or even a restaurant and think, “Darn, I wish I had purchased Scrip for this place”? Once you have your bill you can open up the Raiseright app, find the restaurant, purchase the amount you need and pay your bill right off of your phone in a matter of minutes! Have a teenager who wants to go eat somewhere with friends but texts you to say they don’t have any money with them? Find out where they are going, purchase a gift card on the app, screenshot the card and text it to them! The app will automatically update the balance on most cards as you use them. Old cards can be archived to keep your wallet organized.  Some local gift cards can be manually entered into the app so that you won’t have to carry those around either.

With the holidays approaching, now is the time to start taking advantage of all they ways you can utilize the Scrip program for your holiday shopping. Many families who take advantage of all aspects of the program will earn $1000+ in rebates over the course of the year!

If you have questions on how to use any of these features, feel free to email the Scrip Team at [email protected]
In anticipation for Toyland Opening, the percentage you earn will be increased to 8%. This additional percentage will run thru the end of October. The normal 5% will go back into effect 11/1.
