Charger Cards – Advent and Christmas Season
Do you need to buy Christmas Gifts? Don’t know what to buy? Gift Cards are the best gifts as loved ones can purchase items for themselves. The Charger Card team will be available Mondays and Fridays from 8:30am-9:30am to take your special orders for the Christmas and Advent Season. In addition, they will be open on Wednesday, December 14th between 2:15pm and 3:15pm. It is also a great opportunity to buy Charger Cards for your child’s teacher, the administrative staff, and school staff. Let them know how much you appreciate all of the hard work they have done since the beginning of the school year. Check out the Charger Card Faculty wish list HERE.

2nd Week of Advent: Peace
This week for Advent our focus is on Peace. We see that one way that we can bring hope into the world is to be peacemakers. Peace on earth starts with us, with our attitudes towards others. Advent prayers can help us focus on this important liturgical season. Advent can help us keep in mind the true purpose of the build up to Christmas.
Advent Prayer for the week
Dear Heavenly Father, this Advent season, we especially in need of peace. War rages on in our world. It impacts the daily lives of millions in different ways. This year, as much as ever, we need Jesus, Prince of Peace, in our world and in our hearts. During Advent, we pray that Jesus transforms our world as we await His coming again. Amen.
Non-Illness Planned Absence of Three or More Consecutive Days
With Christmas Break quickly approaching, I wanted to remind you that while we know it’s not always possible, family trips should only be planned during school vacation time to reduce your child’s time away from the valuable in person learning they receive in the classroom.
If your travel will cause your child to miss 3 or more days of school, we require the student and family complete a Planned Absence Form which you can get from the school office or your child’s teacher. This form should be completed AT LEAST five days prior to the student’s absence. You can read the full policy on planned absences here.
Have a Blessed Weekend,
Mr. Mike Fuerte
Principal
