Feature Article: Inflation's at a 40 year high. Commercial Real Estate didn't get the memo.
All things (real estate) are not equal.
In an article in TheRealDeal, New York Real Estate News by Rich Bockmann dated February 23, 2022, he noted that returns on investments in Industrial properties lead with 45%; multi-family and self-storage between 25 and 30%. Office and retail were much lower in the 0 to 6% range.
Inflation is certainly a factor and unstable markets are yet to stabilize.
As always, the regional and local markets do not always follow national trends but the strong industrial sector of the Gulf coast certainly suggests the areas of interest.
