The AI train has made Louisiana a regular stop and the schedule keeps expanding. This week, Amazon announced $12 billion across three data center campuses in Caddo and Bossier Parishes. This follows Meta's $10 billion campus already under construction in Richland Parish, and Hut 8's $10 billion River Bend campus in West Feliciana Parish, just north of Baton Rouge, where Anthropic has signed a 15-year, $7 billion lease backed by Google. Three companies. Three parishes. Three $10 billion-plus investments. The same capital that has been chasing data center REITs on Wall Street is now pouring concrete in our backyard. The AI infrastructure buildout is real, it is here, and it is accelerating.
