The Friends of the Library cordially invite you to spend the evening honoring Chamber Ambassador Larry Levengood, a decades long community volunteer and board member on numerous city and school organizations. He helped reorganize the Friends of the Charlevoix Library in 1999 as one of the original nineteen members. The speaker will be Mark Heydauff, Charlevoix City Manager since 2015, who will discuss volunteerism in Charlevoix.

The brand new $25 million facility opened this summer to packed houses and rave reviews for programs by the Detroit Symphony, Joffrey Ballet, the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra and many others. GLCA Executive Director Jill O’Neill will talk about the finest new performing arts center in Northern Michigan and its amazing contributions to the cultural landscape of our area.

35th Annual Crop Walk

Come rain or shine! Area residents are gearing up to join in the Charlevoix County CROP Walk, Saturday, September 29 th at 9:00 am. This year’s walk will be a 5K and will begin at three Charlevoix County locations, including Elm Point to the Tourist Park in East Jordan, the United Methodist Church in Boyne City and St. Mary’s Church in Charlevoix. All church’s and individuals are welcome to join the walk.

St. Mary Parish mass times will change starting on October 6th to Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

Come Join the Charlevoix Stingray's Swim Team
The Stingrays welcome swimmers who have passed Stingray Academy Level IV Lessons (or equivalent ability), and complete one length of the pool within 30 seconds using one of four competitive swim strokes. We will work around other sports! Pricing, times, registration forms, and financial need scholarship forms on our website. The Official Swim Team Season runs October 15 - February 24. Oct. 8th, 9th & 11th, 5-6 pm: Tryouts / Placement Week. Pick One Day. Free. Oct. 12th: Welcome to Stingray Swim Team Pool Party 4-6 pm and Parent’s Meeting 5:30-6 pm. $5 Pre-season Drop-in or Stingray Pass.
