The ATHENA Leadership Award® is a very prestigious recognition presented to a person who provides significant mentoring and direction to women professionals. This award honors individuals who strive toward the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, who excel in their chosen field, devote time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and forge paths of leadership for women to follow.
The ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award® program was founded in 2007 by ATHENA International to honor emerging women leaders who demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession. Recipients must also demonstrate their commitment to service by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in their community while serving as a role model for young women personally and professionally.

ANNOUNCING VACEPlus RATES FOR 2023
As Vermont businesses struggle to recruit and retain talent in a competitive labor market, the VACEPlus Insurance program can help small businesses offer quality employee benefits while also enjoying the administrative flexibility and simplicity that comes from working with a local partner.
We are pleased to announce the 2023 VACE insurance plans and rates and which includes the addition of a new vision insurance plan! The VACE VSP plan will continue to be offered next year, with a modest rate increase, but we’ve also added a DeltaVision plan on the EyeMed network. By offering two vision plans with distinct provider networks, our goal is to provide a solution to VSPs recent network changes that have impacted some of our members. Adding DeltaVision also provides those members in less populated areas with the ability to shop vision plans and networks based on what’s available to them locally.
Please see our Vision Plan Comparison file for more details on this exciting new benefit! More details on the benefits of both vision plans as well as the dental plan are also attached, and can be found on our website at www.vaceinsurance.com.
We are also happy to announce there will be no change to the 2023 dental plans or rates.
Please see below for the approved 2023 VACEPlus insurance program rates along with the associated monthly marketing shares. For the third year in a row, the Chamber Benefits, Inc. Board of Directors has approved a doubling of all marketing shares for the Calendar Year 2023. We acknowledge that times are still difficult and memberships are still in recovery mode. We hope this extra amount will help lessen the financial strain from the pandemic on all of us.

2023 Open Enrollment
As in previous years, we will automatically renew VACE dental and VSP accounts and keep members in their current plan selection unless we hear otherwise. All group-level joinder forms and employee enrollment and change forms can be found on our website. www.vaceinsurance.com.
Important note about administration: Northeast Delta Dental (NEDD) will manage the enrollment, eligibility and invoicing for chamber members who elect DeltaVision. There is no change for VACE Dental and VSP; VACE will continue to manage enrollment, eligibility and invoicing for those plans. Please see the matrix below for more detail. This information will also be communicated to agents and employer groups.
VACE will accept open enrollment changes until December 15th, 2022. Please communicate all policy additions, terminations, and coverage changes to VACE using the appropriate forms available on our website, www.vaceinsurance.com. Most open enrollment changes will be reflected on the February invoice.
New business for January 2023 will be accepted by VACE and NEDD (for the DeltaVision product only) until January 6, 2023.
The VACE office will be closed from December 26th through January 2nd. Any paperwork or communications received during that time will be addressed on or after January 3, 2023.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. Thank you for your continued support of the VACEPlus Insurance program!

The idea for this Project stemmed from a request from a BIPOC community member that VTDigger offer free underwriting to BIPOC-owned businesses as a means of redistributing resources and advancing equity in Vermont. This suggestion was adopted as part of VTDigger’s ongoing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts in support of its core mission to serve the news needs of all Vermonters.
VTDigger invites businesses to apply to participate in the Project for placement over the course of the next twelve months. Successful applicants can use VTDigger underwriting ads to increase general awareness of their activities in Vermont by, for example, driving traffic to their websites, facilitating email list growth, promoting an event, or something else depending on each organization's goals.
Each successful applicant receives up to $2,000 worth of underwriting. You don’t need a marketing expert or graphic designer to participate in this program. VTDigger is available to design ad creative for participants if needed. This includes up to two hours of design work. For more information, click here.
