Palm Beach North Chamber Welcomes New Team Member

Welcome Katie Velotta to the

Palm Beach North Chamber team!

As Membership Development Manager, Katie works with new and future members to educate them on the Chamber and membership benefits, successfully onboard members, and provide them with the tools to get the most out of membership. Katie will serve as a key participant in supporting new business and re-engaging current business relationships. She will also work closely with our Ambassador Committee as liaison, working alongside them to help new members better target their networking and business development efforts.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Katie served as the Membership Representative at the PGA of America.

Clerk’s I.T. team improves access to Palm Beach County court records, converts 75 million images to searchable documents

Palm Beach County’s court documents can now be searched by keyword and are more easily accessed by customers using screen readers, thanks to a months-long project by the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s I.T. team to convert millions of images into PDF/A format documents.

Internationally Recognized Leader in Biosensor Development to Join Jupiter’s Max Planck

Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience (MPFI) announces that neuroscientist Dr. Lin Tian has been appointed as its third Scientific Director. Tian joins current scientific directors, Dr. David Fitzpatrick and Dr. Ryohei Yasuda, to expand the institute’s work to develop new technologies for understanding the structure, function, and development of neural circuits. Dr. Tian has developed biosensors that enable researchers to better understand the role of dopamine and serotonin in the brain, providing critical insights into the regulation of brain circuits and behavior, and how they fail in brain disorders.
