A Special Request from the Seacoast Chamber Alliance

The Seacoast Chamber Alliance (the Chambers of Portsmouth, Somersworth, Rochester, Hampton, Dover, and Exeter) will be sending a letter this week to Senator Shaheen, Senator Hassan, and Congressman Pappas reinforcing the need for robust and comprehensive funding relief programs that ensures we have resources to meet the needs of Granite Staters.

We know that without a commitment for grant funding coming soon, you will be facing difficult decisions about future operations.  This is important information for our Congressional delegation to have. If you have feedback you would like us to include, please email jennifer@exeterarea.org by the end of day Monday so we can incorporate it (not identifying you- just the industry you represent) in the letter from the Seacoast Chamber Alliance.

We look forward to hearing from you!

We Want to Hear From You!

We have all had to transition and do things a little differently these last 6 months. Now that we have held a number of virtual events, we want to get your feedback. As a member of the Exeter Area Chamber, we value your opinion and want to make sure we are delivering the programs and events that you expect.

Please take our short survey to let us know how we're doing and how we can continue to evolve and improve. Chamber members who take the survey will be entered into a raffle to win a free Eblast, valued at $150.

Chamber Champion
Become a Chamber Champion Today!

Covid-19 has challenged all of us in ways we never imagined.  Our communities are turning to the Exeter Area Chamber as a trusted resource to provide information, guidance, positivity, and ideas during this unprecedented time. And now, as we plan for when the economy will open back up, everyone will be looking to the Chamber for support.

It is a misconception that Chambers are funded through municipalities, states, or the federal government. Chambers of Commerce are independent not-for-profit 501(c)6 organizations. All of our funding is generated through membership fees, sponsorships, and events. We were left out of the programs we are currently promoting to the local business community essentially leaving Chambers without funding options or relief.

Taxability of Covid-19 Financial Relief

The New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration (NHDRA) is helping taxpayers understand the taxability of relief distributed to New Hampshire Business Profits Tax (BPT) and Business Enterprise Tax (BET) taxpayers as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
