Military Affairs Committee plans next course of action

The Military Affairs Committee held a strategic planning brain storming session at the April 12 meeting, creating lists of information and ideas for future potential work by the committee.  From local military missions, to defense manufacturer support, to congressional delegation visits, the group will begin to drill down their ideas over the next few meeting forming a coherent plan of action for their focus.

Warming Center hosts fundraiser

Macomb County Warming Center presents its 11th annual Spring for the Homeless event on Apr. 27, 6-10 p.m.,  at the Vintage House in Fraser. Enjoy a buffet dinner, silent auction, raffles, professional entertainment and a cash bar. Tickets are $35 each or order a table of 10 for $280. Hotcakes for Hunger coming up

Macomb County Executive Mark A. Hackel, the Macomb County Food Program and the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) have teamed up to host Hotcakes for Hunger, an event dedicated to raising awareness of the NALC's annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Hotcakes for Hunger will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 7 at Freedom Hill County Park in Sterling Heights.Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are still available for Hotcakes for Hunger. New degree programs at WMU-Metro Detroit locations

Meet Western Michigan University faculty and staff on Apr. 27, 3-7p.m. at their Auburn Hills location, and hear  Dr. Szabla, Professor, Org. Change Leadership, and panel discussion on organizational change leadership. Attendance at this  event will waive $50 application fee for program. All who attend, qualify, and apply for the new Org.
