Centennial Airshow to be presented by Community Partners

The 2017 Selfridge Open House and Airshow, which is organized and hosted by the 127th Wing at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, will be presented by the Selfridge Base Community Council in partnership with the Macomb Foundation. Scheduled for August 19-20, 2017, this year's show will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of military aviation at Selfridge, and will feature the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, many of the vintage warbirds flown over the past century from the former Army-Air Corps base, and many of the finest military and civilian performers in the nation. Learn All About the Birds and the Bees

The Belle Isle Nature Center is hosting a free family-friendly Valentine's celebration on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Birds and the Bees will feature music, photography, crafts, zookeeper talks. Valentine's-themed crafts will include "bee mine" cards and heart-shaped birdseed cakes for children to feed to the birds in their own backyards. 
Baker College to hold info event for HS students

Baker College's Clinton Township campus will hold its Senior Open House for high school students, 9:30-11:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Student Center, 34950 Little Mack Ave, Clinton Township. Reservations are required and due no later than Thursday, Feb. 23. The event is designed to help college-bound students and their parents understand college funding and career options.
