SCREENINGS WITH MEANINGS

CYAN - CANMORE YOUNG ADULT NETWORK

CYAN turns 1 year old and it is fantastic.  Great job to all of the participants, board members and friends of CYAN. Our youth ministry has taken wings and is flying with the Golden Eagles.

THANK YOU TARA!

RCMUC, CYAN and Tara Koenig have all agreed to extend Tara's contract to the end of December 2018. In this time of growth and settling in as a new organization, the CYAN events just wouldn't be happening without the energy and effort of Tara.

We also thank Tara for looking after the church office messages while Sondy was away on holidays. Great Job!

Coming to RCMUC this fall: a
CROSS-BORDER BOOK STUDY!

Two congregations in Canada and two in the USA will be studying Speaking Christian: Why Christian Words Have Lost Their Meaning and Power - and how they can be Restored by Marcus Borg.

Final logistics are still being worked out for this study, but it looks like we will be starting immediately after Thanksgiving, either on Tuesday nights or Sunday nights.  If interested, speak to Greg!

WAYSIDE REFLECTION GROUP - in BANFF

Like the blind beggars in Matthew 20:30, we sit by the wayside and look for healing and help.

Together we will use structured conversation to delve deeply into our own experiences, listening for spiritual lessons and growth for our souls.

Sessions will be organized around a story prepared by the one of the participants, with Rev. Murray Speer's help as needed. You'll be trained in how to engage with a story and draw out spiritual themes and personal connections. Murray has successfully offered this program elsewhere and feedback has been very positive.

The group will run for six sessions. Registration may be limited; priority will be given to members of Rundle Memorial and Ralph Connor Memorial.

Meetings will take place on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, starting September 26th and ending December 12th, from 7:30 to 9 pm.

Questions? Contact [email protected] to find out more! Want to register for the first session? Let Nancy know - [email protected] - and she'll add you to the list.
UKULELE

Ukulele practice will resume towards the end of October.

If you are interested please email Donna & Marsh Kennedy for more information.   [email protected]

You never know who you will run into on vacation.
