CHURCH TOWN HALL - CONGREGATIONAL ENGAGEMENT

MARK YOUR CALENDAR  for a Town Hall, June 12th at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary.

With Mr Tim Visser
Architect, Transept Architecture

Re-imagining Our Building

We have hired Transept Architecture to complete a needs assessment for our building.  We have identified many areas of concern where our building might best serve our mission and vision, but we need everyone's input.

Transept Architecture will be completing their report soon after this engagement session

This is your chance to be heard and have your say about these preliminary findings!

Check out the full report and last Sunday's presentation on our website at:  http://ralphconnor.ca/re-imagining-our-building/

CREATING A RAINBOW RAILROAD STATION IN CALGARY

The Affirming Ministry group has invited a guest speaker on June 10th.

LGBTQ+ refugees from around the world need Calgary as a landing place and Rainbow Railroad has a waiting list of LGBTQ+ refugees waiting to come to Canada.

Please join us for what promises to be a most informative presentation by Mr. Kelly Ernst of The Centre for Newcomers after service on June 10 about their plight and how Calgary might start welcoming LGBTQ+ refugees in a new way.

WEEKLY BULLETIN AT SUNDAY WORSHIP

A month ago, we experimented with a half-sheet bulletin format on a 3 week trial basis.  Based on an overall very positive response, Worship Committee has agreed to move in this half-sheet bulletin direction.

On Communion Sundays we will have a full bulletin, but in between will have a simpler format.  For detailed announcements, your best source is always the Thursday newsletter...sign up at www.ralphconnor.ca most of which are also highlighted on the TV Announcement loop prior to Sunday Worship.

HEALING PATHWAY

Will continue by appointment all summer. To book a session or inquire about this gentle healing ministry p lease contact: Sue Nichols at iamsue@telus.net  or call her at 403-678-4536

EVENSONG

Join us on Wednesday June 13 at 7:15 pm for
Bathing in song with Alpine Voices Threshold Choir

We gather for holy silence, chant, song, reflective words, and experience the gentle nudging of the Spirit.   Sometimes we will also incorporate poetry, or art, or physical movement.

If you have friends, neighbours, young adult children, or anyone else you could invite to a worship experience that is lay-led, contemplative, non-doctrinal, with a broad, inclusive spirituality... or if you've never been to Evensong to discover this mid-week spiritual oasis for yourself...please come some Wednesday night, to "come and find the quiet centre".

The last Evensong for the summer will be held on June 20
"The Eve of the Summer Solstice and national Indigenous Peoples' Day"

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Sign up for a Sunday on the Clipboard. We have a multitude of Sunday lesson packages in the upstairs cupboard.

Children's Church (ages 4 and up) and Nursery/Toddler care are both available as the first hymn is being sung.

For Toddler Care, join the caregivers in Gordon Hall for a moment to apprise them of your child's needs.
Please bring a snack if your child may need one, and advise if your child has any allergies.  Water or juice will be provided if needed.

For  Children's Church , our teachers will take the children upstairs for their lesson.  All children will return to the sanctuary prior to the anthem.  We look forward to meeting your children!
