Special Announcements

October is Pastor Appreciation Month!

Let’s show our appreciation for Pastor Michael and the outstanding job he has done leading our congregation. We also love and appreciate how Pastor Mark, Pastor Mezmur and Pastor Rob help to carry out the ministry of Prince of Peace. There is no better way to demonstrate our appreciation than by being in attendance during Sunday service. So let me encourage you to “Pack the Pews” this Sunday to demonstrate our appreciation for our Pastors, and more importantly honor our Lord in worship! You are also welcome to bring a thank you card on Sunday to share with our Pastors. Please mark your calendars and make a special effort to join us in worship! God is doing a new work at Prince of Peace. Come and be a part of it.

Your Vote as a Christian

As Christ’s representatives on earth, we are under a mandate to be “salt and light” in our culture (Mathew 5:13-16). One of the ways we do that is to vote in ways that honor God’s love for all humanity and the betterment of society for all. Our faith in God influences all aspects of our life, and that includes political life. Please vote with prayer and discernment. Pray for the election process and our commonwealth in general.

Jerry Nepodal's Swimathon for Bethany House

Hi, I’m Jerry Nepodal and once again I’m doing a solo swim-a-thon to raise money for the Bethany House of Northern Virginia on Saturday, 9 November 2024.

Bethany House has been serving our neighbors by providing short-term housing and life advancement services to women and children escaping domestic violence.

There are two types of pledges you can make. One is simply a dollar amount for the entire swim. The second is a "Push Jerry" pledge wherein you pledge an amount/every minute beyond 4 hours.  I will take no breaks and will be swimming a combination of the breast, back, and free style strokes. Last year, I was able to do 6 hours, 10 minutes and we raised just over $10,000.  This year my goal is to swim a minimum of 4 hours, but will push for more with the "right incentive".

Our goal is to raise $25,000. For information on Bethany House of Northern Virginia and how to pledge, go to this website: go.rallyup.com/swimjerry24
