Angel Tree is Coming Back
to Prince of Peace!
| | |
Angel Tree is back—and we need volunteers! Through Prison Fellowship Angel Tree, Prince of Peace will come alongside children and families impacted by incarceration to share the love and hope of Jesus this Christmas.
Angel Tree needs all kinds of volunteers—and delivering gifts is only ONE way to help! Whether you’re a people person or a behind-the-scenes person, there’s a place for you. We need help contacting families, organizing Angel Tree Cards, shopping, collecting and wrapping gifts, praying, helping with final organizing of gifts per family, and, yes, delivering gifts and connecting with families.
| This is just the beginning! This website link will be your Angel Tree home base throughout the season. Today you can read more details and soon you'll find opportunities to choose an Angel Tree child, purchase gifts, volunteer, pray, and more. Bookmark this page and check back—we'll keep adding everything you need right here. | | New to Prince of Peace? Join us for Meet Prince of Peace on Sunday, October 18, from 9:15 to 10:15 AM in Room 21. It's a great opportunity to meet Pastor Michael Hayes, learn about our church, and ask questions in a relaxed setting. Childcare is available. We hope to see you there! You can let us know you plan to join us by emailing Tiffany Sears. |

Remembering Our Saints
November 1st at the 8:00 and 10:30am Worship Services
| | |
All Saints Day is a sacred time to honor and give thanks for the lives of those who have gone before us in faith. As we gather to celebrate their memory, we invite you to share the names of loved ones who have entered eternal rest in the past year.
If you would like your loved one to be remembered during our All Saints Day observance, please send the following to Tiffany.Sears@poplc.org by Sunday, October 25th:
- Full Name
- Dates of Birth and Passing
- Your Relationship to Them
- A Photo
Let us join together in prayer and remembrance, lifting up the lives of those who now rest in the light of Christ.

The best scenario when creating a Christian estate plan is to work in collaboration. When it comes to estates, few of us know all the answers. We need to have conversations with others who will ask us questions that spur good thinking. We need to work with experts who have experience in gift planning, to ensure all the bases are covered in the plan. To begin identifying where you have need to ask for help, reach out to your LCMS Foundation Gift Planning Counselor. Contact Pastor John Denninger, our Southeastern District Gift Planning Counselor - John.Denninger@LFND.org.

Your Story. Your Faith. Your Legacy. | | | |
Have you ever thought about putting the story of your life and faith onto paper? Sessions will be on Monday evenings at 7:00 PM in Room 24 for a memoir-writing class open to both men and women.
Each week, Arla will provide writing prompts to help bring memories to life as you reflect on your experiences, your faith, and your walk with Christ. No writing experience is needed—just come ready to remember, write, share, and create something meaningful to leave as a legacy for those you love.
Please let Arla know if you plan to attend so she can have enough supplies available. Questions or RSVPs can be sent to Arlafp1@gmail.com.
