Holy Communion is served at the 8:00 on the 1st & 3rd Sundays and at the 10:30 on the 2nd & 4th Sundays. 5th Sundays and celebration Sundays have communion at both the 8:00 & 10:30.

You may have noticed leaks in several places in the Sanctuary and in areas under the flat roof. We have spent about $20,000 on repairs over the last eight years and have been able to extend the life of the roof. However, now is the time for a total replacement.

Due to your generous giving in the past, we were able to make a down payment of $175,000. We hope to have reserve funds of around $100,000 at the end of this fiscal year. We now need to raise the remaining $225,000 to complete the work.

Please carefully consider what you can do to help. Make checks payable to Prince of Peace and write “ROOF” in the memo line.

BoSL held the POP Annual Voters' meeting on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 10:30 am. The members in attendance voted for 2 BoSL members: Jerry Nepodal (first term) and Christy Brown (second term) and they were approved. They also voted to approve the budget for the following fiscal year by verbal approval. Pastor Michael Hayes covered the Ministry Report and how our mission statement is working through the church. Brad Womble discussed the Capital Campaign for the roof and why it is needed. He also touched base on future renovation projects and missions. A ministry report can be obtained from the office if you are interested. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Pastor Michael, Brad or a BoSL member.

We’re excited to announce Pray & Go, our annual outreach focus for the month of July. This is a 30-day journey where we commit just 5–7 minutes each day to pray, read, and intentionally live out the Great Commission. We believe God will use this time to grow our faith and help us reach others in authentic ways.

(Optional bonus) In addition, for those who would like to participate, we’ll gather every Sunday between services throughout July to pray together, encourage one another, and share what we’ve been learning from the book and testimonies. Whether you’ve been attending regularly or are just getting started, this is a great opportunity to Grow Together in faith and community. These gatherings will take place in Room 21.

The commitment begins Wednesday, July 1, and participants must pick up their book by June 28. Books will be available for pick-up in the church lobby on Sundays in June. Registration is now open—we encourage every member to take part!

The POP Music Ministry is Hiring a

Summer Intern!

Don't delay! The deadline to apply for funds is August 1, 2026.

We need persons with an interest in building a strong diverse community in our Prince of Peace neighborhood. Our ESL ministry has a need for daytime and evening teachers starting in September.  As an ESL teacher you will interact with people from around the globe who are anxious to learn more about their new Northern VA home while learning the English language.  The teaching commitment is for one day a week for two hours and requires no special teaching experience.

Prince of Peace would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Matthew Clapp for his outstanding service project and leadership in constructing our beautiful new outdoor signs.

Working alongside fellow Scouts and troop leaders, Matthew planned and coordinated the installation of these sturdy new sign structures, creating a lasting improvement to our church campus. The project required significant effort, teamwork, and dedication, and the results speak for themselves.
