It's not too late to join us tomorrow!

Are you new to Prince of Peace? Or maybe you’ve been attending for a little while and would simply like to learn more? We warmly invite you to join us for a Meet Prince of Peace event on Sunday, January 18th, from 9:15–10:15 AM in Room 21.

This will be a relaxed and welcoming time to hear from Pastor Michael Hayes as he shares about our church’s story, mission, and community life. It’s also a great chance for us to get to know you! Some of our staff will drop by so you can put faces to names and feel more at home here.

To help us plan, please let us know if you’ll be attending by emailing Tiffany Sears

Childcare is available—we have a fully staffed nursery for infants through age 6, and Sunday School classes for older children. You’re also welcome to bring your children with you to the event if that’s more comfortable for you.

We hope you’ll join us!

Didn't register in time? Don't worry, you can still join us tonight for Kingdom Club!

The Capital LLL District Presents

Faithful Stewardship

We live in a “I can do it myself” culture. That has been cultivated by our access to technology. Yet the question is, “Do I need help to create my Christian estate plan?” This month we consider that your estate plan represents the biggest collection of decisions with far more impact than any others in life. If you are planning gifts to family, it is a wise idea to discuss these with family, imparting Godly encouragement for faithful stewardship. A ministry gift might include a discussion with current ministry leaders. Your LCMS Foundation Gift Planning Counselor can help facilitate these discussions. Contact Pastor John Denninger, our Southeastern District, Gift Planning Counselor.

Faith Shapers Women's Book Group

Tuesday, January 20, 2026, 7-8:30 pm on Zoom

Add one or all of the Faith Shapers' picks to your 2026 reading goals! On January 20 at 7 pm, we'll meet on Zoom to discuss our annual book of the Bible, the book of Amos. It's a short but powerful prophetic work in the Old Testament.

On February 17, we'll discuss a Dallas Willard classic, "Hearing God: Developing a Conversational Relationship with God." If you've been wanting to deepen your day-to-day prayer life, this book is a great place to start!

Faith Shapers is a welcoming online gathering for women to talk about books and faith. You are welcome to attend one, two, or more meetings.

Check out our reading picks and schedule for the spring here!

Email Jennifer Gross if you'd like to be added to our email list to receive reminders and Zoom links!

Floral Arrangers Desperately Needed

Our altar flowers are lovingly arranged each week by volunteers from our church family, not a florist. Right now, we would love to welcome a few more people to this ministry.

If you enjoy flowers — or are curious to learn — no experience is required. We are happy to teach and support you. Volunteering is usually about once a month (or less as the team grows), the church reimburses flower costs, and you may arrange them in your own creative style.

If this sounds like something you might enjoy, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to Arla Albers. Your creativity and care could help make our worship space bloom, and we would be grateful to share this ministry with you.

Resource Corner

Each month, we will share a resource so you’re aware of what’s available at Prince of Peace. We encourage you to keep an eye on these updates, as needs can change and you never know when you or a friend, neighbor, or family member might be blessed by one of these services.

This month, we want you to know that several mobility aids are available for short-term use. Do you have a visitor or neighbor recovering who could use a walker or wheelchair? We have you covered. Contact Brad Womble.
