If you don’t know what it’s like to confront an empty cupboard when your children are hungry and there are two more days until payday, you can rejoice in your good fortune. Or, you can rejoice in your good fortune and decide to help feed neighboring families whose budgets are being overwhelmed by inflated prices for basics. Requests for ECHO’s food assistance are as numerous as ever and ECHO is having a hard time keeping foods in stock. Please help us by donating any amount of non-perishable foods or personal hygiene products. The most urgently needed items are: dried beans (red or black are requested), spaghetti sauce, boxed pasta, canned tomatoes, canned fruits, pancake mix, pancake syrup, honey, jelly, coffee, tea, canned fish such as sardines or tuna, tortillas, laundry detergent, dish detergent, shaving cream and shampoo. A complete list is on ECHO’s website at
Confirmation flash drives are in. Please pick yours up in Arla Albers’ office (on the back of her door) as soon as you can. They are in envelopes with each name on them.
We are so thankful for the many volunteers who have stepped up to make our upcoming VBS a “go”. We are still in need of 2 teachers for the week of Aug. 1, and one teacher for Monday only. This is an important time in the lives of our children. I’m sure many of you remember your VBS days. Would you kindly make room in your schedule for a week that could change a child’s life? We already know that more than 25% of the children who are coming to VBS are totally unchurched. Wow, we could touch these kid’s lives and change them forever! Please volunteer today. We thank you in advance.

Children & Students Summer Sunday School
PoP! Kingdom will continue to meet from 9:30-10:20 during the summer. To accommodate the smaller numbers the classes will be combined K-2nd grade and 3rd-6th grades. We’ll have a great time learning new Bible teachings, songs, and doing some crafts about God.

High School and Middle School students will continue Sundays, 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. in the Youth Room to meet through the summer during the Sunday School hour. Jennifer Gross and Jason Faunce are leading a study on the gospel of Mark using the Lectio Divina method. Rising 7th graders are welcome. Please contact Jason at
